AHPRA will work with the Paramedicine Board of Australia (the Board) to help ensure that paramedics are ready for national regulation in late 2018.

Health Ministers made appointments in October 2017

The first meeting of the Board was held on Monday 30 October 2017

The Board website was introduced in November 2017

The Board will develop and consult on registration standards, codes and guidelines

When consultations are open for input, they will be shown on the Board website

Approval and decisions

Registration standards were approved by Ministers on 13 April 2018

Expressions of interest from potential accreditation authorities is being sought

The approved qualifications have been published by the Board

Registration open

Set up your AHPRA account and apply for registration from mid to late 2018

Online registration will commence three months before participation day

Assess and decide

AHPRA will assess your application

The Board will decide if you meet the requirements for registration

Paramedics will be advised of registration outcome

Paramedics regulated under NRAS
