Public consultation – Updated accreditation standards for paramedicine

The Paramedicine Accreditation Committee is seeking feedback on their draft updated accreditation standards.

Accreditation standards are used to assess whether a program of study, provides graduates of the program with the knowledge, skills and professional attributes necessary to practise the profession in Australia.

The purpose of the review is to refresh existing standards to reduce duplication, enhance consistency and reflect the priorities of the National Scheme.

The Paramedicine Accreditation Committee (Accreditation Committee) carried out public consultation on its draft proposed accreditation standards for Paramedicine.

The Accreditation Committee consulted on its draft proposed accreditation standards, and sought feedback from education providers, practitioners, other stakeholders and the community.

The Accreditation Committee held a series of information sessions across Australia during February 2020 as part of a public consultation on the Paramedicine Accreditation Standards. One of these sessions was recorded as a webinar.
