Registration renewal

The registration renewal date for paramedics with general or non-practising registration is 30 November. You can check your registration details and expiry date on the national registers of practitioners.

It is important that your contact details, including email, are current as you will be sent reminders when your registration is due to be renewed. Look for these reminders from Ahpra as confirmation that online renewal is open. After receiving your reminder, go to the Ahpra login page.

See fees for the cost of annual renewal, including the late payment fee for renewal applications received during December.

If you do not renew your registration by 31 December (end of the one-month late period), your registration will lapse on 1 January in accordance with the National Law, your name will be removed from the national register and you will not be able to practice as a paramedic in Australia.

If your registration lapses and you wish to resume practising, you may be able to submit a fast-track application for registration between 1 January –31 January. A fast-track application will be available via your online service account between 1 January - 31 January only. Log in to your account and select the ‘Fast Track Application’ button to apply if required.

If submitting a fast track application, you cannot practise until your application is processed and your registration details are updated on the national register.

Outside of this period you will need to apply for registration again.

For more information, read the registration renewal page on the Ahpra website.
